in another strange course of events - I wasn’t able to swing a photo class this quarter, so instead i’m in a film class. which has me taking pictures. it’s seemingly unavoidable, and i’m totally okay with that. i love photography, and i’ll take any chance to get credit for it… but yes - the film class demanded a short series of photographs describing a place. i chose a place which I know and love so well, KZSC. here’s some shots taken at night - they’re nice (in my totally un-biased) opinion.

so, teddybears - they’re an awesome self-proclaimed punk-rock band from Sweden that finally released their tunes in the US a few months ago.. that went well, some good videos were made, and apparently iggy pop found them. so watch this now:

it’s funny, then to watch this.. and wonder, ’so, they got the use of that car for free then, eh?’

and yes, I have a roof again. woot.

so yes, one of the best comics i’ve ever read, sam & max - freelance police, recently came out with a computer game that made me bring my old PC back from the dead. it also made me dig up my copy of the collected comics, and reread it a few times. wanting another, less beaten-up version, I looked online, only to find out it’s selling for over $200. yikes.

as that’s a little pricey, I put together a pdf version instead. it’s about 80mb, and up for download here for all of those who enjoy well written and hilarious comics and have a good internet connection. as not too many of you read this, it shouldn’t kill any bandwidth, but we’ll see. oh, and of course, if anyone minds this being up here, like the creator, steve purcell, please let me know. I figure this is a good thing, not bad, as I doubt many would support the people selling copies for hundreds of dollars. but then again.. why hasn’t it been reprinted??

oh, and yeah, my house has no roof. it’s a bit drafty, and it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. i’ll post some pictures soon.

what a good day for apple, and therefore me.

new phone that looks amazing, new router that’s snazzy, and a new TV thing that looks alright. people must be happy though, as stock has gone up seven dollars and the keynote isn’t even over.

and here I am, happy that I bought some stock two days ago. go me.

I haven’t posted much in quite some time as things have been slightly hectic for the most part. traveling to see family, growing a year older, working on the house, and starting classes again. the class part is interesting. finishing up my lower division art requirements, starting more advanced digital media, and working with the film minor, which looks like this:

• HAVC 10E - Africa, Oceana, and the Americas
• Art 118 - Computer Art Theory
• Film 20P - Film Production

it’s a good amount of geekery, and on average a decent class size. problem is three sections, which is three too many. on a good note, exciting things are happening at KZSC, however, as winter quarter starts. bend to squares will stay at the same time, but I get to make a new program guide. so, the first to see it, here it is:
